Pete Lynch

Born in Silver Spring, Maryland on March 31st, PETE LYNCH shares his birth date with Herb Albert, René Descartes, Al Gore, Joseph Haydn, Ewan McGregor, Christopher Walken and AC/DC's Angus Young. Raised in a highly musical family, PETE LYNCH discovered his love for music at a tender age. At six he purchased his first album, "The Who - Live at Leeds".
A few months later, he picked up his father's guitar and began learning his first chords from his dad, a Czech dissident (and guitarist in an underground band, who had fled communist Czechoslovakia in 1968). PETE LYNCH soon moved on to playing the bass guitar.
He was eleven when he formed his first band and became the band's lead singer and frontman.

From then on, he put all his energy and time into writing songs and training his voice and vocal skills.
At sixteen, LYNCH moved to Europe where he played in various bands and toured the continent,
playing in subways, at parties, in clubs and at festivals. He also supported bands such as the Go-Betweens, the Godfathers, Nina Hagen, and Concrete Blonde.
Nina Hagen's influence inspired PETE LYNCH to pursue classical vocal training with a former
singer of the famous Vienna State Opera. Another big influence in LYNCH's life was his collaboration with his friend Simon Hinkler, producer and former guitarist for The Mission/UK (John Paul Jones, Tim Palmer). Simon Hinkler encouraged LYNCH to launch a solo career and shared many valuable insights about the world of recording and production.
PETE LYNCH then decided to move his base back to the United States, to New Mexico, and to concentrate on song writing. After a year of writing and recording, he released his first EP "Nothing More Painful Than the Truth" and the song “Seven Seas” was released on the Santa Fe “Rockers for Life” compilation CD, a charity initiative to prevent drunk driving in the USA.
Encouraged by the positive feedback from his growing fan base, LYNCH signed his first record
contract with Cosmix Records and finished the recordings for his debut album.
He recorded 30 songs in his Lynch Castle studio using vintage guitars, amps and microphones.

All vocals, guitars, bass guitars and samples are performed by PETE LYNCH.
The drums are masterfully beaten by LYNCH's personal hero and own Keith Moon, Sascha Bem,
drummer extraordinaire - le grand maitre de batteur - of the Austrian rock band Core.
PETE LYNCH's debut album "Face me!" was produced by Conny Dix, who also recorded
Lenny Kravitz's election song for Barack Obama.
"Face me!" introduces 11 original LYNCH songs that are spirited, passionate and deep.
LYNCH's powerful and distinctive voice, combined with his unique blend of musical influences,
ranging from rock to trance, from pop to progressive, may remind you of Peter Gabriel at his best, flying high with the Killers as his band.
Although PETE LYNCH is a solo artist, singer and song writer, his album "Face me!" has the sound and feel of a band. "Face me!" is a true "all killer no filler" that will take you from the highest high to the deepest depths of your soul and leave you craving for more. Fast, high-energy songs
like the album's opener "Hate me like I hate myself" are followed by songs such as the brutally honest "I'm mad at you" or the very personal, up close and vulnerable ballad "Swim," which features
LIANE de LOTBINIÈRE , one of Canada's best singers.
All of LYNCH's songs give you an intense look into his schizophrenic inner space. His lyrics are
dazzlingly truthful portraits of who he is when the masks are down. "Face me!" is a soundtrack of experiences many listeners will identify with. Shortly after finishing a bonus track cd for "Face me!" and writing and recording demos for his second album PETE LYNCH teamed up with some of the best musicians he knows, drummer Catharina Priemer, guitarist Mike Seidl and bassist Joe Gridl. Three incredibly talented, experienced and like-minded musicians that have been friends for years and also have the reputation of being an amazing and awesome live band! Together with his band PETE LYNCH is hungry and excited to hit the road on his first solo European Tour and to leave a massive footprint where ever he performs!
